What will my donation to Friends of Buford Park & Mt. Pisgah be used for?
YOUR GIFT WILL HELP….
- Improve “globally endangered” native habitats on Mt. Pisgah to benefit fish and wildlife,
- Implement innovative restoration projects in the South Meadow floodplain, on the east side Piedmont prairie, and in Oregon White Oak habitat along the Summit Trail,
- Build, improve and maintain trails, including the new South Meadow interpretive trail,
- Coordinate and train volunteers to assist with trails, invasive weed removal and nursery operations
- Advocate for park land acquisitions including the 1,200 acre Wildish lands

Our programs are funded primarily by donations from individuals, contracts for habitat enhancement work, and grants from private foundations and government agencies. Example of agencies that fund our work include: Meyer Memorial Trust, Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife, U.S. Fish & Wildlife, Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board, Oregon State Weed Board, Bonneville Power Administration, Collins Foundation, and the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation.
