Aerial Tour of the Mt. Pisgah Area
This 3-minute tour of the Mt. Pisgah area shows key public ownership, habitats and FBP project sites on Lane County's Buford Park, and the location of the 209-acre Mt. Pisgah Arboretum within Buford Park. Also shown is the 1270-acre parcel with six miles of river front that The Nature Conservancy purchased in Fall 2010.
Confluence Floodplain Restoration: Conceptual Visualization
This 30-second video illustrates how Willamette Confluence ponds created by past gravel mining could be restored to improve habitat salmon, turtles and other aquatic species. Breaching relic berms from mining could connect the river to the mainstem. Native vegetation would filter high winter flows that spread over the floodplain, detaining flood water and reducing downstream flood peaks.
Aerial Flyover: Short version
This 1-minute version of the flyover shows the location of the Confluence of the Willamette's Coast & Middle Forks, Lane County's Buford Park, other public lands, and the 1270-acre parcel that The Nature Conservancy will purchase from Wildish Land Co. More info.
